Being a New England Sports Fan

We have had quite a decade here in new england.  3 Superbowl wins, 2 World Series wins, 1 NBA championship, and 1 Stanley Cup.  Plus we have been close in other years as well.

2002- The Silence of the Rams
The Patriots shut down the Greatest Show on Turf to win Superbowl
2003- Red Sox fall in 12th inning game 7 ALCS

2004- Superbowl Champions Again

2004- Idiots Break the Curse of the Bambino
Red Sox down 3 games to none to the Yankees, comeback and capture their first world series in 86  years
2005- 3rd Superbowl in 4 years, Patriots Dynasty

2007- Patriots 4 yds away from Superbowl
One more 1st down needed to salt away victory vs Colts

2007- Red Sox Sweep Again
Second World Series win in 3 years
2008- Patriots Perfect Season spoiled in last minute of Superbowl
One defensive stop from being the Greatest Ever
2008- Celtics Resurection delivers 17th NBA title
A new big three deliver the largest turn around in NBA history

2008- Red Sox "a healthy Mike Lowel away"
Lose Game 7 vs Rays in ALCS

2010- Celtics/Lakers in finals for 12th time
a classic somebody had to lose

2011- Bruins win 3 game 7s to win 1st Stanley Cup since the days of Orr
Great Goaltending, Good Defense, and determination overachieve, plus the Canucks are an easy team to hate

2012- Patriots last minute loss in Superbowl
           Giants edge Patriots again

Every year over the last decade, we have had teams with a chance to be champions.  I can remember when the Pats, Red Sox, Celtics and Bruins would have a chance maybe once a decade.  Fans tore down the goalpost when the patriots made the playoffs in 1985.  No other city has ever had a run like this.
